Job Description

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites and custom plugins. You'll work closely with our design and development teams to create high-quality, responsive, and performant web solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
  • Convert PSD/Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress themes
  • Customize and extend existing WordPress themes and plugins
  • Optimize WordPress websites for performance, speed, and SEO
  • Implement responsive design principles ensuring cross-browser compatibility
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services with WordPress
  • Troubleshoot and debug WordPress websites, themes, and plugins
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, updates, and best practices
  • Perform website migrations and updates
  • Ensure websites are secure and follow WordPress security best practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in WordPress development
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery
  • Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
  • Knowledge of WordPress hooks, filters, and the WordPress Codex
  • Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, Beaver Builder, or Gutenberg)
  • Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with WordPress performance optimization (caching, CDN, etc.)
  • Experience with WordPress REST API
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Portfolio demonstrating WordPress projects

Nice to Have

  • Experience with WooCommerce development
  • Knowledge of React.js or Vue.js
  • Experience with headless WordPress
  • Familiarity with Docker and local development environments
